The cycle: Build-up, Act-up, Rationalize, Pretend Normal
These are the kinds of abuse:
Emotional: Any behaviour that is intended to hurt, threaten, humiliate the spouse
Physical: Unwanted physical contact that might/might not result in visible injury
Economic: Behaviour that prevents the victim from being financially independent
Spiritual: The abuser does not allow the victim to practice her faith and is ridiculed
Sexual: Forced sexual activity of any kind

Espiritual: A vítima não tem liberdade de praticar sua fé e é ridicularizada
Sexual: Qualquer atividade sexual forçada
